Whether it was organizing the first-ever Hispanic Heritage Month Assembly at Spanish River High School or helping coordinate a transatlantic exchange program with students from Soissons, France, every initiative I've taken part in has been rooted in connection, cultural pride, and community-building. Through Latinos In Action, I helped lead meetings that weren’t just spaces to plan—they were spaces to empower, to celebrate identity, and to lead with purpose.

As a Chick-fil-A Leader Academy student, I developed outreach programs and service projects that connected students with local leaders and small businesses, reinforcing the power of servant leadership in everyday moments. My time with Pibflorida—from distributing food during the COVID-19 pandemic to facilitating communication as a simultaneous translator—taught me that leadership is often quiet, unseen, and deeply human.

These moments—some on stage, some behind the scenes—have shaped how I define service: not just as action, but as intention. Not just as help, but as solidarity. It’s in the way we show up for others, even when no one is watching. It’s in the boxes we carry, and the stories we hold.
